لقاءات تنسيقية لتعزيز تنفيذ مشروع الأمن المائي بالطاقة المتجددة في مأرب

التقى مدير مشروع تعزيز الأمن المائي بالطاقة المتجددة في محافظة مأرب د.عمر ناصر باجبع ، بمدير فرع المؤسسة العامة للمياه والصرف الصحي بالمحافظة الأستاذ حسين بن جلال، ومدير عام الهيئة العامة لمشاريع مياه الريف الدكتور علي سيف هذال، وذلك في إطار التنسيق المشترك لتنفيذ مشروع تعزيز الأمن المائي في المحافظة.
وناقشت اللقاءات آلية تنفيذ المشروع في المديريات المستهدفة، والتي تشمل مأرب المدينة، ومأرب الوادي، و حريب، بما يسهم في تلبية الاحتياجات المتزايدة لخدمات المياه، وتحسين مستوى الوصول إلى مصادر مياه آمنة ومستدامة.
ويأتي هذا المشروع بتمويل من البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، والاتحاد الأوروبي، ومؤسسة صلة للتنمية، ضمن الجهود الرامية إلى تعزيز استدامة خدمات المياه وتطوير البنية التحتية في محافظة مأرب.
وأكد مديرو الجهات المستفيدة أهمية المشروع في تخفيف معاناة المواطنين، مشيرين إلى أنه سيمثل نقلة نوعية في استقرار خدمة المياه، وسيسهم بشكل كبير في الحد من الانقطاعات المتكررة، وضمان وصول المياه إلى المنازل بشكل منتظم، خاصة في ظل التوسع السكاني والضغط المتزايد على مصادر المياه الحالية.
وأشادوا بالدور الفاعل للبرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن والاتحاد الأوروبي في دعم وتنفيذ المشاريع التنموية المستدامة التي تلامس احتياجات المواطنين بشكل مباشر، معربين عن تقديرهم لجهود الشركاء الدوليين والمحليين في دعم مثل هذه المشاريع الحيوية.
ويتضمن المشروع حفر 8 آبار ارتوازية لمياه الشرب، بأعماق تصل إلى 280 مترًا، وتزويدها بأنظمة طاقة شمسية، إلى جانب إعادة تأهيل 3 آبار في حقل مأرب القديم وتشغيلها بالطاقة الشمسية. كما يشمل إنشاء 7 خزانات برجية بسعات مختلفة، بالإضافة إلى توريد وتركيب 8 شبكات مياه توزيع عامة تمتد من مصادر المياه إلى المستفيدين في المناطق الريفية,وتشكيل وتأهيل 8 لجان لإدارة مشاريع المياه وتدريب 20 من العاملين فيها.
ويستفيد من المشروع نحو 368,300 نسمة في المديريات الثلاث المستهدفة، بما يعزز الأمن المائي ويسهم في تحسين الظروف المعيشية للسكان في محافظة مأرب.
Coordination Meetings to Enhance Implementation of the Renewable Energy Water Security Project in Marib

The Director of the Renewable Energy Water Security Enhancement Project in Marib Governorate, Dr. Omar Nasser Bajuba, met with the Director of the General Corporation for Water and Sanitation branch in the governorate, Mr. Hussein bin Jalal, and the Director General of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects, Dr. Ali Saif Hethal. This comes within the framework of joint coordination to implement the water security project in the governorate.
The meetings discussed the mechanism for implementing the project in the targeted districts, which include Marib City, Marib Valley, and Harib, in a way that contributes to meeting the growing demand for water services and improving access to safe and sustainable water sources.
The project is funded by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, the European Union, and Selah Foundation for Development, as part of efforts aimed at enhancing the sustainability of water services and developing infrastructure in Marib Governorate.
The directors of the beneficiary entities emphasized the importance of the project in alleviating citizens’ suffering, noting that it will represent a qualitative shift in the stability of water services. It is expected to significantly reduce frequent outages and ensure regular delivery of water to homes, especially amid population growth and increasing pressure on existing water resources.
They also praised the effective role of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen and the European Union in supporting and implementing sustainable development projects that directly address citizens’ needs, expressing appreciation for the efforts of international and local partners in supporting such vital initiatives.
The project includes drilling 8 artesian wells for drinking water, with depths reaching up to 280 meters, and equipping them with solar energy systems. It also involves rehabilitating 3 wells in the old Marib field and operating them with solar power. In addition, the project includes the construction of 7 elevated storage tanks with varying capacities, as well as the supply and installation of 8 public water distribution networks extending from water sources to beneficiaries in rural areas. It also includes forming and training 8 water management committees and training 20 workers within them.
The project is expected to benefit approximately 368,300 people in the three targeted districts, enhancing water security and contributing to improved living conditions for residents in Marib Governorate.
